VirginiaNavigator is a portal that links you to a family of websites — SeniorNavigator and disAbilityNavigator — that support seniors, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and family members across Virginia. These websites provide vital information and guidance while supporting independence, dignity and quality of life by providing access to programs and services available in your community.

In addition to linking you to websites, VirginiaNavigator is pleased to partner with over 200 VirginiaNavigator Centers throughout the state. VirginiaNavigator Centers are existing community organizations that voluntarily provide free access and assistance with the website to our friends and neighbors without computers or internet access. disAbilityNavigator

disAbilityNavigator is a web resource created by and for people with disabilities and their families. Designed to meet the wide range of concerns unique to the disability community, the website features thousands of programs and services as well as hundreds of educational articles. The information focuses on issues such as health and wellness, housing, community resources, benefits and money management, legal and civil rights, transportation, and much more.

The overarching goal for disAbilityNavigator is to empower consumers with disabilities by providing accessible information to make informed choices most appropriate to their needs.

Currently, the disAbilityNavigator service provider directory is available in Northern Virginia and the Richmond-metro area. Articles and links are applicable to all Virginians. We look forward to expanding disAbilityNavigator community by community throughout the Commonwealth as funding opportunities arise.

SeniorNavigator

SeniorNavigator is Virginia’s number one resource for health and aging information. This program combines the internet with a network of volunteers to bring information about more than 23,000 health and aging resources, both public and private, to seniors, adults with disabilities, and their families and caregivers.

SeniorNavigator offers an array of features including search options, a resource locator, a community calendar, an “Ask an Expert” function, and over 700 resource articles. These articles focus on issues such as health, financial concerns, legal questions, health facilities, housing options, transportation, exercise programs, advocacy, and more.

In addition to the website, SeniorNavigator is pleased to partner with over 650 SeniorNavigator Centers throughout the state. SeniorNavigator Centers are existing community organizations that voluntarily provide free access and assistance with the website to our friends and neighbors without computers or internet access.

Virginia EASY ACCESS

Virginia EASY ACCESS is a resource developed for seniors, adults with disabilities, their caregivers, and the providers that support them. Virginia EASY ACCESS is easy to use and understand and offers helpful information on a variety of topics, public benefits, services and supports that are available across the Commonwealth.

VirginiaNavigator for Easy Access, accessible at www.virginianavigatorforeasyaccess.org, is an exciting website that includes a provider directory for more than 23,000 providers and services. You can search the directory by topic, zip code, and city/county.

VirginiaNavigator for Easy Access provides detailed information about individual services to help you decide which ones may be the best match for you or your family member.
